Unpredictable Spring

Unpredictable Spring

The killdeer are masters at locating their nests in hidden ground areas normally disguised by the elements. A sudden spring snow storm has occurred. The mother's breast has warmed the spring snow and with her exit, revealed the eggs for our viewing.

"Unpredictable Spring" offers a glimpse of nature's degree of difficulty for the killdeer nest egg's survival in our Colorado high country. Â This bronze sculpture is a crossover piece from my silver maple burl one of a kind and was selected for the 2008 Flights of Fantasy Exhibit; Brookgreen Gardens; Murrells Inlet, SC.
